"the Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners' (Isaiah 61:1)..............'...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land' (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Since the very earliest days of the church, Christians have had the opportunity to learn in detail about what they believe. For instance, what does the Bible teach us about Jesus being both man and God? Is this just something that the church has come up with over the years, or is it the teaching of the Bible? How do we know whether what we learn in church is just the opinion of the teacher, or something that God shows us in the Bible?
Over very recent times, the clear, straightforward and systematic approach to learning the teaching of the Bible has to a large extent disappeared, and sometimes this causes us difficulty in being certain about the things we believe. This area of the website is a growing resource that will help you know where to look in the Bible to find the teaching that underlies the things that we believe. It will be added to on a regular basis.
